TRAS EL APOYO DE LA FEDERACIÓN SINDICAL MUNDIAL, LA OFICINA REGIONAL DE LA MISMA VUELVE A RESPALDAR AL SINDICATO

Solidarity Message of the European Regional Office of WFTU to Frente Sindical de Obrero de Canarias (FSOC) and the strike committee (union members) of the RIU Hotel.

The EUROF of WFTU condemns the anti union positions of the RIU Hotel Chain demanding from the organization Frente Sindical de Obreros de Canarias (FSOC) and the strike committee (union members) the amount of 733.000 Euros for a strike that has been organized on the 12th of January 2015 and expresses its solidarity and support to them.

The attitude of the company is an attack on the working class and against the right to strike.

Under the conditions of the capitalist crisis, the ongoing attacks of multinationals, the EU and the governments of each country is part of a strategy that has as the main aim to disarm the working class by eliminating the labor gains and penalizing the right to strike. The capital and its political representatives know that the only way out for them is the new attack on the selling price of labor force in order to serve their interests. In order to prevent reactions they are trying through the directions and the legal framework of the EU to impose fait accompli regarding the structure and organization of the trade union movement.

We demand the end of the persecutions against the trade unionists and the respect of their trade union rights.

We call the unions to strengthen the movement of solidarity with the persecuted trade unionists.
